Ancon relocates to expansive facilities in Victoria to support business growth

Ancon has relocated its Melbourne operations to a site three times larger than its previous unit. This new facility will better service current market demand for Ancon’s engineered construction accessories and support the company’s growth ambitions nationwide.

Ancon’s Victoria-based manufacturing and warehousing operations have relocated from the Melbourne suburb of Sunshine to:

9/63-69 Pipe Road
Laverton North
Melbourne
VIC 3020

By working closely with the building’s developer throughout the design and construction programme, Ancon was able to ensure this impressive new facility met its exact needs and delivered all the operational improvements the company had meticulously planned.

A long-time advocate of Operational Excellence methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and 5S, Ancon has been able to implement improvements to its workflows during the relocation process to further enhance its productivity.

In addition, the new facility will store more raw materials and hold more finished stock than ever before.

All these benefits will quickly enhance customer service and allow Ancon to respond more effectively to challenging project requirements and further increases in demand. The site offers excellent transport links and improved access for both collections and deliveries.

Jon Bond, Managing Director ANZ, said,

“The new premises in Victoria are considerably larger than our previous unit where we had reached capacity following a sustained period of business growth.”

“The new site represents Ancon’s continuous and substantial investment in Australia which we are confident will deliver increased performance to our customers and improved facilities for our employees. These are exciting times for Ancon as we deliver ambitious growth plans in this region.”

The move was carefully planned to minimise any service issues and the Ancon team is now enjoying their new working environment.

With nationwide coverage, the Victoria operations complement Ancon’s Australian head office and main production facility based in Sydney, and additional manufacturing locations in Brisbane and Perth.

Ancon is a CRH company.
