ANCON, a CRH company, designs and manufactures a wide range of high integrity steel fixings for masonry and concrete construction, providing strength and stability to structures around the world, from architecturally ambitious high-rise developments and landmark sporting stadia to major bridges, tunnels and highways. 

Products include ANCON masonry supports and restraints, reinforcing bar couplers, reinforcement continuity systems, punching shear reinforcement and shear load connectors; UNICON lifting, fixing and anchoring systems for precast concrete; CONNOLLY concrete jointing systems for ground slabs and internationally renowned anchor channels from CRH sister company, HALFEN, complete the comprehensive product portfolio.

Award-winning ingenuity  

The quality and ingenuity of Ancon products, and the company’s global growth have been recognised by the award of three prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. The company received the Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2018 and 2012 for its development of Teplo advanced composite low thermal conductivity wall ties and a unique lockable dowel system for post-tensioned concrete construction respectively. In 2015, we received a Queen’s Award, this time for international trade, in recognition of the company’s export growth in existing and new markets.

1993
Additional 36,000sqft UK manufacturing site opened, Greenfield, North Wales, UK

1997
Ancon Clark’s head office relocates to the 70,000 sq.ft. purpose-built President Park facility in Sheffield (UK). Harris and Edgar in Epsom is closed to centralise sales operations in Sheffield. CCL Systems of Leeds (UK) is acquired including sales offices in U.A.E and Australia

1998
Ancon Clark is merged with CCL Systems to form Ancon CCL

Acquisition of Pflüger & Partner AG in Switzerland

Ancon New Zealand is established

Ancon’s Sydney office relocates to larger premises.

2015

Ancon is honoured with a second Queen’s Award for Enterprise, this time in the International Trade category.

Ancon New Zealand opens a new site in Auckland.

2017

Site extension to the Sheffield head office and largest UK manufacturing facility.

2018
HM The Queen honours Ancon with a third Queen's Award for Enterprise; our second in the Innovation category.

Ancon has relocated its Melbourne operations to a three times larger site in Victoria. This new facility will better service current market demand and support the company’s growth ambitions nationwide.
